RULES

Review the following sites created by Harold Olejarz about the elements and rules of perspective.

Discussion Questions:

 As a group, answer these discussion questions. Add them to your previous discussion questions that your group will turn in at the end of class. If you are working on the web, you will submit them to the drop box.

What is a vanishing point?

Define the horizon line in a one point perspective drawing.

What are orthogonal lines in a perspective drawing ?

Optional: For practice using these elements of perspective, find a photo on the web or in the stock photos on your computer that uses one point perspective. Print the photo in B & W. Then,using a pencil or marker, draw lines on the photo to indicate the horizon line and orthogonals. Add a dot for the vanishing point.
